Foods That Can Destroy Your Sex Drive

Many snacks are the ideal libido booster for men, but others can completely stop your night. Stop these mood-destroying foods:

Too much caffeine elevates the levels of cortisol, the stress hormone. According to experts, it makes it harder for your body to relax and lowers your libido.

Anything too salty

According experts they increase water retention and bloating. Another drawback? Blood flow is what makes an orgasm possible and too much salt will make getting to that point more difficult.

Fresh fruits

Have them avoided, particularly after a meal. Fruit digests very quickly— a lot faster than you could possibly eat. And that can lead to cramping, nausea, so general discomfort— symptoms that you don’t want to feel before you get on with it.

Wine and beer raise the melatonin levels, which is also known as the hormone of sleep. One glass just makes you slow. In reality, it can also cause erectile problems, prevent orgasms and increase the chances of premature ejaculation for your partner.

Kissing is wonderful, but studies show it can put a damper on your appetite and energy for a short romp. Even swallowing peppermint gum is an additional buzzkill, because you prefer to suck air, leading to more gas.

Carbonated drinks.

If you’re susceptible to carbonation, keep away from tonic water and sodas. Belching is the last thing you want to do over a romantic night.

Cruciferous veggies.

Brussels sprouts, cauliflower, and broccoli are all foods that produce methane. Just make sure you cook them well or they’re going to make you very gassy.

The higher the sex drive-for both men and women-the more testosterone. But excessive amounts of soy can induce a hormonal imbalance in your diet. Case in point: A study published in the European Journal of Clinical Nutrition found that men who eat 120 milligrams or more of soy a day had a significant reduction in testosterone.
